Yes; if you have a or are part of a PC that bills for services. Zeph’s Virtual Pulmonary Rehabilitation program can be billed through Pulmonary Rehabilitation codes, as well as unlocking additional codes for longitudinal data collection.
These pulmonary rehab programs are often recommended for patients with conditions like:
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), from mild to severe
Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)
Pulmonary Hypertension
Bronchiectasis (both cystic fibrosis and non-cystic fibrosis types)
Asthma (especially if severe)
Other patients who may benefit from respiratory therapy include:
Patients experiencing persistent breathing issues after recovering from COVID
Patients recovering from ICU stays or major respiratory events
Patients undergoing or who have undergone lung volume reduction interventions
Patients with lung cancer, or those recovering post-treatment
Candidates for lung transplant and post-transplant patients
Patients are monitored with FDA approved Bluetooth-connected continuous heart rate and SpO2 devices. During program sessions, realtime, audiovisual, two-way supervision is used to monitor patients to ensure safety. Clinicians can see realtime video feeds with patients as well as streamed data throughout the entire session. Patients are also trained on the RPE scale at the start of the program to ensure safe completion of exercises and avoid overexertion.
Zeph collects and reports outcomes for:
Adherence and retention
Quality of life
Functional capacity
Dyspnea
Mental health
Zeph sends preloaded tablets with easy to follow instructions to streamline the process of getting patients online. Additionally, 1:1 onboarding sessions between Zeph and the patients prior to program initiation ensure patients are comfortable with all Zeph technology and program features. Zeph support is also available to patients and clinicians 24/7. A stable wifi connection is greatly preferred, but not an absolute must, to use Zeph.
Zeph can work with your IT team to integrate with your EHR platform. We allot 4 weeks for this process, though it often requires less time. Depending on your EHR and technology team, integration can range from PDF reports to integration of assessment results and session progress. Beyond the initial referral, Zeph does not pull any data from your EHR.
All you need is a computer with internet access on which to use our web app. Your patients will be provided with a pre-configured tablet and only need WiFi connectivity to get started.
Patients benefit from convenience, increased adherence to rehabilitation routines, better management of symptoms, and overall improvements in respiratory function and quality of life. This approach not only facilitates better health outcomes but also empowers patients with the knowledge and tools to manage their condition more effectively.
Our program combines a selection of compound strength exercises that target a patient’s main muscle groups and maintain a target heart rate for cardiovascular conditioning. Our program also includes personalized encouragement so patients engage in cardiovascular activity in between program sessions, based on their level of mobility and exercise capacity.
